Windows version
There is only one expensive, buggy option here on Windows, a proper alternative would be most welcome.

Ed Bradburn Forgot to ask, which expensive buggy option is that?

Neil Chudleigh: Dragon Dictate from Nuance (recently acquired by Microsoft I think) The pro version now costs, I kid you not, 1,000 €. I used it for years but finally got tired of the pricing policy and the crashes, etc. that have plagued all versions of the software. Currently using a Google-based service called LilySpeech which is OK but they appear to have zero interest in marketing it as a product. Which is why I am super-interested in superwhisper!

Ed Bradburn Yes Ed, a Windows version would be excellent. When you mentioned a buggy option, I was expecting you to mention SpeechPulse. It is early in development, but low cost, and cross platform (Windows and Mac). Frequently updated. They are the only project I know of that is trying to replicate dictation (manual punctuation, formatting commands) "Dragon style" and merge this with AI. It's impressive what they have accomplished so far. With SuperWhisper, I'm still working on a prompt that will process my puntuation and formatting commands correctly post-recognition. Tricky because the models are not consistent. Sometimes they behave as expected, and sometimes they don't. Dragon still wins there. I'm surprised Nuance has not already upgraded Dragon to incorporate AI to improve recognition accuracy. It could become stellar -- but still $$$$.

Darryl That's also an interesting option - the more the merrier and thanks for mentioning it!
