knowing when to ignore the word period and other punctuation

You’re not looking for manual punctuation setup, but for Superwhisper to recognize that when you say “period” out of habit, it should ignore the word instead of transcribing it literally. That isn’t something we can confirm as a current built-in setting, but it’s a very reasonable feature request — especially for people switching back and forth from Apple Dictation.
