Feature: highlight any text, then verbally dictate the change, and the tool rewrites the highlighted text to match what you said.
Workflow: select → speak edit intent (“make this shorter / more direct / change tone / fix grammar / rewrite as bullets”) → text updates in place.
Value: feels like a daily-driver capability because it turns “editing” into fast, low-friction voice commands instead of retyping.
Comparison: Superwhisper doesn’t (currently) have this “edit the highlighted selection by voice instruction” interaction, which makes it feel like a missing core feature.
Constraint: Whisper Typing is Windows-only, so you can’t rely on it as your default on Mac.
Takeaway: you want “voice-directed in-place edits on selected text” as a must-have for everyday use, and Windows-only availability is the blocker.
