Bring your own API key for ElevenLabs Scribe (speech-to-text)
Superwhisper currently supports bring-your-own-key (BYOK) for cloud AI models, but only for LLM post-processing. Superwhisper also supports ElevenLabs Scribe as a speech-to-text option, but there's no way to use my own ElevenLabs API key for it — only Superwhisper's own key/subscription is used.I'd like the option to bring my own ElevenLabs API key for the Scribe transcription model, the same way BYOK already works for LLM post-processing.The main reason is data processing agreements (DPAs): to use Superwhisper for work, my organization needs full control over the data processing agreement that governs the vendor actually transcribing our audio (in this case ElevenLabs). If Superwhisper's own key is used for Scribe, we have no way of ensuring our own DPA terms with ElevenLabs apply to that processing. This should also benefit Superwhisper as a business, since usage costs for Scribe would shift from Superwhisper to the customer when the customer supplies their own key — the same cost model that presumably applies to LLM BYOK today.
